This training is designed to cover the complex and multi-layered topic of Tribal Standards of Care. When working with tribal members and tribal communities it is necessary to understand historical events and their impacts today. The training covers topics of Nebraska tribes, intergenerational trauma, and outcomes that can be attributed such as: substance use, suicide, mental health diagnosis, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons. Also included are behavioral health interventions with families or individuals and how culture can be used as prevention and treatment.

This training has been approved for 2.75 continuing education (CE) credits for psychologists* and 2.75 CE credits for Nebraska LMHP/LIMHP. Credits will be awarded to participants who attend the entire training.
*Continuing education for psychologists may be used by other licensed behavioral health professionals. Please check with your licensing board. Continuing education credit is granted on a one credit per one instructional hour basis.
