Public Policy Center Research Specialist and manager of the Gambler's Assistance Program Evaluation project,
Dr. Juan Paulo Ramirez, was called upon by a reporter for the Santiago Times as a source of information on gambling and the consequences of a gambling addiction. Nicole Starkey joined the PPC in May 2009 as an undergraduate research assistant.

Education

B.A, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Political Science, Economics, and International Studies majors, History and Spanish minors. In progress – graduate December 2010.

Areas of Interest

Academic areas of interest include Chinese politics and economics and economic development, specifically poverty alleviation.

Projects

Nicole mainly assists in behavioral health and public participation projects such as PEPPPI, threat assessment, and disaster behavioral health.
