PPC Graduate Student Appointed to Fellowship Program

Joseph Hamm, a Public Policy Center Graduate research assistant and doctoral student in psychology and law, was one of eight UNL students to be appointed to the Center for Great Plains Studies 2013 Graduate Fellows Program.

According to the press release the program "provides a place for select graduate students to work, meet, obtain support, learn from fellow students, engage with Center faculty and staff, benefit from the center's resources and progress in their studies."

Prior to founding Objective Advantage, LLC, Dr. Elizabeth Neeley enjoyed her tenure as a Senior Research Manager for the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center, directing the Access to Justice Core Area. Her primary role with the Center was as the director of Nebraska's Minority Justice Committee, a joint initiative of the Nebraska Supreme Court and Nebraska State Bar Association, established to address issues of racial and ethnic fairness in the justice system. Dr. Neeley also has extensive research experience with indigent defense systems and other aspects of the justice system (jury composition, court structures, and failure to appear, etc.). Dr. Neeley serves on the Board of Directors of the National Consortium on Racial and Ethnic Fairness in the Courts and on the editorial board of Court Review, the official journal of the American Judges Association. She is an active member of the Nebraska Supreme Court's Interpreter Advisory Committee and the Nebraska Crime Commission's Committee on Disproportionate Minority Contact.
