PPC Student Authors Web Spotlight for Stimpson Center

While spending the summer interning at the Stimpson Center in Washington, DC, Undergraduate Research Assistant, Jessie Cleveland wrote a brief piece on Indian reactions to the pending China-Pakistan civilian nuclear deal titled, “India of Two Minds: Reactions to the Pending China-Pakistan Nuclear Deal”. Autumn L. Backhaus joined the Public Policy Center in February of 2006 as a graduate research assistant. She is involved with the statewide Drug Court evaluations and other behavioral health projects.

Autumn is working towards her doctorate in counseling psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received her B.S. in psychology from Nebraska Wesleyan University and her M.S. in clinical psychology from Emporia State University in Kansas. Her primary research interests are related to the psychological dimensions of poverty, social class, and socioeconomic status, specifically related to service delivery, social justice, and public policy in the areas of education, behavioral healthcare, and general healthcare.

In her free time Autumn loves to travel, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends!
