Public Policy Center Research Specialist and manager of the Gambler's Assistance Program Evaluation project,
Dr. Juan Paulo Ramirez, was called upon by a reporter for the Santiago Times as a source of information on gambling and the consequences of a gambling addiction. State Meat Inspection Project

The purpose of this project was to assess state meat inspection programs (nationally with foci on neighboring states of Kansas and Minnesota) so that the Agricultural Committee of the legislature could determine the advisability of Nebraska implementing a meat inspection program.

Funding
The Agriculture Committee of the Nebraska State Legislature was the primary funder. Nebraska Pork Producers Association and the Nebraska Cooperative Development Center provided partial funding for the project.
