Public Policy Center Research Specialist and manager of the Gambler's Assistance Program Evaluation project,
Dr. Juan Paulo Ramirez, was called upon by a reporter for the Santiago Times as a source of information on gambling and the consequences of a gambling addiction. The purpose of this project is to engage the statewide radio audience and three targeted communities in a project that is raising public awareness of the issues Nebraskans must confront to create effective mental health care reform. Rural elderly, youth and minorities are particularly vulnerable to the deficiencies in Nebraska’s systems for delivering and accessing mental health care.
